Ralph Meyer and Robert Hiatt elected, and scholarships awarded.
The annual meeting is held each year to report on the Cooperative’s business and to elect directors. Chairperson Barbara Derkacht presided over the 2018 annual meeting held on April 26, 2018. Clear Creek’s President, Mitchell Moore presented the financial statements reporting an unqualified opinion or ‘clean’ audit and showing the cooperative in a stable financial position.
President Mitchell Moore reported to the membership regarding the successful operation of the cooperative and provided information about upgrades and enhancements of the cooperative’s facilities and services, including the savings program — Savings as Simple as 1.2.3, ValleyView Wireless, HomeSync Wireless Networking, watchTVeverywhere and much more.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the twenty-ninth annual Subscriber Endowment Scholarship Awards to two very accomplished and deserving high school seniors: Hannah Runyon and Kennah Watts. Each student received a $2,500 scholarship and all expressed their thanks for the scholarship and support of the community.
After the presentations, Mitchell Moore announced that Ralph Meyer had been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors. Barbara Derkacht announced her early resignation from the Board and put forward a suggestion that the #2 Candidate, Robert Hiatt, fill the remainder of her term. A motion from a member was made to elect Robert Hiatt, which was unanimously approved.
At the conclusion of the annual meeting, the board convened ratifying the vote of the members related to the open board seat and electing officers for the coming year.
