Important Customer Update on the Rights to Carry Local TV Stations

Patty TerhuneAnnouncements, Television

Clear Creek Communications is committed to providing our Redland neighbors with the quality shows you want at reasonable prices, which is why we are negotiating hard with Broadcasters for the right to carry local TV stations.

Every three years, local cable providers across the country like Clear Creek Communications must negotiate fees with corporate broadcasters for the rights to carry the signals of local TV stations such as ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC. Unfortunately, some broadcasters are currently demanding extremely high fees to carry those stations here in Redland. As of now, proposed is a large broadcast fee increase to provide the signal, which would drive up the cost to provide these stations to you.

These negotiations have not yet concluded, so we do not yet know what the final rate increase will be. Rest assured that we are focused on keeping these costs as low as possible while making sure we can all continue to watch the local news, enjoy family night in front of the TV, and cheer on our favorite sports teams here in Redland.

We know you have many choices for TV and video viewing, and we share your desire for the lowest price for quality TV programming. We will continue to keep you informed about these negotiations as they develop.
