Clear Creek Communications continues its commitment to higher education by supporting local students with college scholarships. In 2023, two deserving students will each receive a $2,500 scholarship from Clear Creek.
To be eligible, applicants must be a member or immediate family member residing in the member’s home. Students must be a high school senior maintaining at least a ‘B’ average over the last three quarters or two semesters. Scholarship recipients are limited to one award and must attend a college certified by the Northwest Accreditation Association, another regional accreditation association, or the National Association of Trade and Technical Schools.
The Board will appoint a volunteer selection committee to determine the awards, which will be presented at the Clear Creek’s Annual Meeting on April 27, 2023, at the Redland Grange Hall. Applications are available on our website and must be postmarked or received by February 27, 2023, to be considered.
Another scholarship opportunity available for Clear Creek members is through the Foundation for Rural Service. The Foundation for Rural Service is a nonprofit organization based in Arlington, VA., that serves rural communities across the United States. FRS believes that rural communities—regardless of their size or location—deserve the same connection to the world as do residents of urban areas. The Foundation is committed to providing the same opportunities for rural youth as those afforded to students in more urban areas. Part of that commitment is through their annual college scholarship program to help further higher education among rural youth.
