Clear Creek to Sunset All Video Services

Patty TerhuneAnnouncements, Service Updates, Television

As a cooperative, we strive to keep our members informed of any significant changes that may have an impact on the services we provide.

The Clear Creek Communications Board of Directors and Management Team have decided to sunset its EZVideo services as of January 31, 2022, and sunset cable TV services by March 31, 2022.

Video is an expensive service to provide. An abundance of video solutions in the market today cater to multiple preferences. Subscribers have more choices than ever to customize their entertainment experience at a price where we are no longer competitive. Changes in the television industry make it extremely difficult for small, member-owned cooperatives like Clear Creek Communications to continue to offer Cable TV services at reasonable rates.

We are here for you! Our goal is to provide you with as much guidance as possible throughout this transition. We plan to offer in-person tutorials at the Redland Grange to help you become familiar with the available video streaming services. We invite you to join us on Monday, September 20th at 10AM, 3PM, or 7PM. Additional tutorials will be scheduled in the following months. We will demonstrate the features and offerings of the various solutions and answer any questions you may have. Our website is available at any time to help compare services at www.ccmtc.com/streaming. You may also visit the Help Center page of our website for a list of frequently asked questions.  Our Member Services team can review your television needs and help guide you to the right mix of entertainment services, weekdays between 8AM and 5PM. You can stop by or give them a call at 503.631.2101.

Our team has compiled information about a variety of popular options. We are ready to help you navigate all the options and find the best replacement for your needs. Many include customizable live cable and/or local channel packages at affordable prices with many of the same features and content you have grown to love from Cable TV. Others offer both live and OnDemand programming. Many of these services work over the Internet on the same device(s) you may have in your home today. Monthly prices for these live streaming services range from free to under $100 for the top tier of programming.

Please know this decision was not made lightly and every member experience was considered. We know change is difficult. We’ll be there to help you along the way. Thank you for understanding and supporting your neighborhood communications cooperative
